Regina is an Equity actor, writer and singer. She is familiar to New York audiences from her performance in the Drama Desk nominated Best Revival of a Musical, Di Goldene Kale, (The Golden Bride) as well as playing the title role in Metropolitan Playhouse’s production of the melodrama Leah, the Forsaken. The New York Times said “Ms. Gibson holds the stage with skill… in a thought provoking discovery with a first rate troupe.”

She has developed new plays with the Lark, Ensemble Studio Theater, Cherry Lane, Dixon Place, Int’l Fringe Festival, and Ars Nova. Regionally, she has toured with TheaterworksUSA, and performed at DC Capital Fringe, Connecticut Shakespeare, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In film and television she has appeared in the short, Spiders at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as lead roles in the IDiscovery series, Evil Lives Here and Diabolical, as well as numerous comedy sketches.

She writes, performs, and produces her original comedy series, Honestly, Amelia, a modern day retelling of the childbook hero Amelia Bedelia (visit www.honestlyamelia.com). She performed her solo spoken word show The Apple Tree, or Penis no. 7 in the United Solo Theater Festival, New York International Fringe Festival, Harold Clurman Lab Series, Dixon Place, and Stage Left Studios Emerging Writers. It was hailed as a “Dr. Seuss meets penis poetry slam.” She is currently performing her own solo cabaret Divina, based on the life of legendary opera singer Maria Callas with director Stephanie Cunningam.

Ms. Gibson grew up in Pittsburgh and received her BFA in Acting from Stella Adler Studio NYU TISCH, where she had the pleasure of studying Commedia De’ll Arte with master clown teachers Jim Calder and Richard Crawford, and Mask with Per Brahe. She continued her training after graduation with Improv (Level 301) at Upright Citizens Brigade, and Alaine Alldaffer’s Blue Zone Artist Retreat. She has led movement workshops for NYU students, and performed and directed in her own original physical theater pieces.
